Beyond The Bounds

[ H&M wide brim black hat - BRETZEL dark navy assymetrical dress - TOPSHOP black cut-out boots ]

Ola there!

One interesting point it life is to look just beyond the borders. To oversee what meets the eye. I know you might think that this post is kinda boring to read already, but I think I'm just gonna go with it anyway. Well, some of you my faithful readers know me well enough that I do sometimes talk about deep (I guess) nothing fashion-related stuff on my blog- rather than just my outfit details, of where I bought it and so on. So I do hope you keep reading on... :)

So I talked with one of my dear friend about life, dreams, and stuffs when you're at 20 something age. And cut it to the chase, I realised that not everyone has the opportunity to do what they really want to do in life. Well, some of them don't actually know what they really want, while the rest of them just look away from what they really want. We do compromise a lot.

As for me, I'm really, really grateful that the Lord gives me this stubbornness to do things the way I like (most of the time). Not all good of course, this stubborness. But we're talking about positive things, dreams, and hopes here. Once I have strong opinion and thought about (any)things, I don't defeat my own supposition and compromise to other's strong opinion easily. I do listen and take them under consideration, but the only person who can change my mind is me per se.

Again, we're talking about positive things here, not all that prejudices and narrow-minded logical beliefs. I can go all day all night talking about myself, so I just cut it right there before you change your internet url. :p

Most of the time, it's the parents or our closest ones that pushes us away from standing in our (impossible) ground. With the reason of they 'know best' or that the have walked such path before, they make us compromise and change direction. Well, I'm not saying that children should go rebel to their parents, or friends to ignore their besties, rather I say that we all have different paths to go to, and most importantly we have different God-given talents and heart to follow through. The only person who should believe in your dream is you. If others are, it's a bonus. Don't expect that a lot.

The point is, when you know you're right, don't compromise. Stand on your ground.

Sky is never the limit, your head is.

You can do a lot if you belief you can do a lot.

Anyway I fell in love quite deeply with this dress from BRETZEL. I might say that I (finally) found one brand that meets my quirkiness and my odd fashion veins. Well, this dress' design speak for itself. Here's my wish list on their new collection > perfect little (peculiar) white dress. If you happen to need unique yet wearable dress for casual parties or such, I tell you honestly that their new arrivals is a buy-worthy. See it for yourself if you think I'm overselling them. :D

PS: I promise next post will be a lot easier to read. ;) xo

Until next post, toodles-doodles!

Before you go on read, please play these as a back sound as you read:

Fuh... It's really good to be back home.

Ok, so my while life I've been dreaming to live away from my hometown, like million miles away and having my own kinda life and job there. Well I've been living that, sort of, for the last couple weeks. And I miss home (read: Indonesia) really baaaaaaaaaaaad! Guess all them saying was true after all, nothing beats the feeling to be at home.

But I'm beyond grateful tho, be able to feel that longing to get back home, and the opportunity itself of course. :)) Yeah, God is reaaaaal good, all the time.

I've been posting few pictures on my instagram as a diary, I could say, on that business trip which was the first for me. I'll post some more BTS pics on this blog soon. I hope you would drop by again to read.

In mean time, since I'm posting during my office hours, I gotta go and wrap today's post up now.

I love you all guys so so much.

Thanks for keep reading fellas!

Hug and kiss kiss.

Until next post, toddles-doodles!

Damn Skippy!

It's really hard to juggle all four things at the same time. Like my job, my L.I.N.F project, my freelancing things, and this little blog. But damn skippy! I know I can do it!

So this was one of my daily look at office. As some of you may know, I work for a fashion retail company here in my city, and one of the best part of it is that I can wear almost everything to work. Like, literally everything. From (not too short) short with some tights covering up the legs, to even, cropped top! Well, not most employee get that privilege to dress as they want to their office. And I'm glad I can. My first ever boss once told me that I'm the kinda person who never would want to dress neat with collar and blazer things to the office- or other neat preppy look. And he's totally right! I am, actually. I never work in any place that requires me to dress in certain outfit rules, and never I will.

Er, enough about my fun job. ;p So I got this ah-maze-balls aztec print tank from PERSUNMALL. I can tell since I first laid eyes on it that it's gonna be my new fave. I'm currently quite obsess with black, and this top really suits my hippie-grunge style, don't you agree?

I got the shirt on a small local thrift shop for only $2. And the rest, well you could see the credit below. Click on the link to shop what I wear on this post. ;)

All I Need Is Love, And A Cat

Cats do rule the world on this half early year. I'm myself more of a dog person, yet I just couldn't resist how cute the cat stuffs available on stores lately and wouldn't mind for some time being a cat person. Like what I wore on this post- this was my office look by the way.

Well I guess what's most intriguing for me is the fact that clowder-packs of cats, in spite their cuteness and all, they have this fierce self-indulgence side which quite the contrary to their fluffy and fuzziness, and I just loove that paradox! Quite like me I suppose. :p Most people don't expect me as a person who loves rock and metal music, but I do actually. That's just one side of me, and I'd tell you, lots people had a wrong (first) impression towards me. Not the bad kinda impression, thank God, but they usually ended up saying, 'I thought you were..." And to be honest with you, I just strangely love to hear what they thought I was before they knew me, and what they actually think of me now that they know me.

Whoa it's been a while since I post something long huh? I've been posting short posts lately, and that's bad I guess. Hm, now I feel like sharing something with you: I got a job promotion! Yay!! Some of you might remember that I've been working as a Digital Fashion Editor in one giant retail company in my country. Now, thank Lord, I've this opportunity to change my line a bit and challenge myself more into the creative concept team at that company. Well, just wish me the greatest God's luck, people! (I don't believe in luck by the way- it's all God, fellas. It's all God.)

Oh! Almost forgot. Just in case you wondered, yes, I cut those big ol' hole on my denim jeans myself. It was my mom's jeans by the way, I just snatched 'em from her 'no longer use' closet rack and went ballistic on ripping it off with my hands. Yup, to get that DIY statement hole in your jeans, just do a slight or small horizontal cut with a scissor, then just ripped it of with your bare hands. It's turns out so perfectly natural, as if you've just attacked by a fashion bear- who only ripped your knee part, or you've just fell hard somewhere.

And just last but not least, this post will probably the last (sorry for the awful word-repetition) time you see me in my natural dark brown hair. You guys who following me on Instagram have already knew that I'm now a smoky plum head. Don't worry, you'll see soon enough on my next post! ;D

Up until then, toodles-doodles!

Galactic Cat Fight

Whoahellow!

How you guys been doing? Oh and for those who's fasting, may ya'll be blessed with His strength until the end of month. Really can't wait to celebrate with you guys. :)

Cut to the chase, I've been enjoying boyish look lately. I just pull up sneakers or Converse with almost everything to everywhere. And this was my office look couples days ago. But you guys know me that I can never loose my girly-ness on my every outfit. Think nothing's cuter than black on black in minis. I pulled together the easy two-pieces outfit with an ombre tights gifted from a friend, and my new fave angry-cat printed canvas bag. You guys notice the cat's tail hanging over my shoulder?

Aaaand, gotta share this with you. Last month I got the wonderful opportunity to be a stylist for a gospel band's music video. Their production was really huge I can say. It was such a great chance for me to meet many professionals on the scene. It was also my first time experience to ever styled more than 20 people all at once. Their concept was so much fun: it's retro! And the place we shoot the video was the cutest ever. Here, go play their video!

PS: If you haven't know this yet, I'm on Instagram now! ;D

I thank the world to you guys for reading, and until next post, toodles-doodles!

Midsummer Magic

Summer definitely become my second best time of the year- after Christmas obviously, simply because there are lots of cute sleeveless tops and shorts available on most stores, since where I lives, we have Summer (read: hot days) for the entire year. :')

I have this neon vest since like two summers ago, yet I never wear it coz it's (the color) too bold. Guess I have to go all the way neon to make it works, just practically like I wore on this post. I think nothing could be anymore bright and bold in the green-ish outdoor music festivals- which has been going on all weeks since early June in my town, than a neon salmon vest with a hot pink fringe top and neon green bag. The colors scream out the summer excitement well enough, don't you think?

It is one of my biggest daydream to go to Coachella Music fest. Since it's millions of miles away from where I stay, and the flight fare is super expensive for me to pay, all I do is just wish upon the midsummer stars and hope for one day I can be there- and save some money of course. ;) But hell yeah I do went to local music festivals in town. I don't know how many of you know this, but I enjoy Indie music (particularly Rock and Folks) a lot more rather than the others. Speaking of which, I think you guise should listen to these two that has been on repeat to my ears this month:

Oh and, I have the satchel neon bag as one of the awesome prize for winning the Window Styling Competition for NYLON X TOPSHOP Festival Party several weeks ago. I'll share the details to you on next post. ;)

Have yourself a midsummer magic like I do, fellas!

Until next post, toodles-doodles!

Roller Disco

[ JVSTIFY Bomber Jacket - unbranded Diamonds printed sweater (Haji Lane Singapore) - unbranded Peace signs skirt (gifted from my Mom) - Sesame Street  Kids watch - GREEDY SASSY Recin Rings - NEW LOOK metallic sling bag - TOPSHOP frill socks and ankle boots - unbranded Colorful spike bracelet (gifted from a friend) ]

Hooha!

I just can't wait to post this outfit since I first bought this new bomber jacket from Brightspot Market last week. :p All I can say is I'm highly, majorly, widely, and ENTIRELY in LOOOOOOOOVE with this local label called JVSTIFY!!!!!!! I'm like seriously wanting to buy all of their newest collection, 'Los Luchadores'! You would too probably gonna scream on your heart- like me, when you see their pieces (see 'em HERE). Their latest collection def soooo much me, and def worth every penny. Not to mention the super kind and nice designer behind the brand, Yasmina Yustiviani, whom I met on her booth during Brightspot encounter with my girls.

One thing missing from this outfit is, I think, a pair of disco roller skates. ;)

Last week was definitely a super fun week of fashion in town, as there were Indonesia Fashion Week 2013 and Brightspot Market starting and ending on the same days. Managed to meet few local bloggers at the events but most importantly, I really went crazy as planned on buying stuffs. ;)

So beyond happy to share with you guys that I got featured for the second time on GoGirl! Magazine for their Anniversary Edition this February, along with incredible fellow bloggers in town! So grateful and so honored to be featured side-by-side with them, who are actually my muse in blog sphere.

Oh and as I'm writing this post, I just found out that I'm also featured on the Chictopia Front Page! Wow, you can't imagine just how happy and jiggy I am right now!! ;D

I thank God and you, my reader-friends, for the amazing supports to me and this little blog of mine. Makes even more on fire for blogging! ;p

Until next post, toodles-doodles!
