Midsummer Magic

Summer definitely become my second best time of the year- after Christmas obviously, simply because there are lots of cute sleeveless tops and shorts available on most stores, since where I lives, we have Summer (read: hot days) for the entire year. :')

I have this neon vest since like two summers ago, yet I never wear it coz it's (the color) too bold. Guess I have to go all the way neon to make it works, just practically like I wore on this post. I think nothing could be anymore bright and bold in the green-ish outdoor music festivals- which has been going on all weeks since early June in my town, than a neon salmon vest with a hot pink fringe top and neon green bag. The colors scream out the summer excitement well enough, don't you think?

It is one of my biggest daydream to go to Coachella Music fest. Since it's millions of miles away from where I stay, and the flight fare is super expensive for me to pay, all I do is just wish upon the midsummer stars and hope for one day I can be there- and save some money of course. ;) But hell yeah I do went to local music festivals in town. I don't know how many of you know this, but I enjoy Indie music (particularly Rock and Folks) a lot more rather than the others. Speaking of which, I think you guise should listen to these two that has been on repeat to my ears this month:

Oh and, I have the satchel neon bag as one of the awesome prize for winning the Window Styling Competition for NYLON X TOPSHOP Festival Party several weeks ago. I'll share the details to you on next post. ;)

I thank God for my beautiful little sister, Priskila, who turns out to be my best outfit photographer ever.

Have yourself a midsummer magic like I do, fellas!

Until next post, toodles-doodles!

Blooming Waist in Neon World

Thrifted denim shirt - thrifted diy denim short - thrifted androgyny shoes - Forever 21 Neon Cropped top - Forever 21 basic socks - Daisy Garland - BL!NG Drapery Neon necklace

Heyho!

Feelin' a bit funky by the hot weather. Sleeveless and shorts are the perfect pair for it, I think.

So, I finally managed my time to go to a thrift market again after so many time cancelling the thrift adventure. Cut to the chase, I wore my most faved new thrift pieces on this post. :) The high waist short, as you know, was a trousers. Did a bit DIY for it. The shoes, I think it was a man shoes because the toes part kinda wider.  Yet maybe it's a women shoes after all because the size is so small, since my feet size is 5-1/2 and they fits perfectly both before and after I wear socks. It's so crazy comfortable, except for the squeaky sounds it makes when I walk on ceramics floor. :p

And recently I got a new sponsor, BL!NG. It's a fashion accessory store with thousand of colors and types, with also a very affordable prices! For this outfit post, I choose to pair up a dropping neon necklace with my neon cropped top. It kinda added the funky feeling to the neon palette I wore that day. The best thing about statement necklaces is, you can have one whole different outfit (look) on them. It's actually a piece of clothing. I really love the abstract neon drapery on my chest, contrasting with my big pink heart neon cropped top. ;) You guys def should check out their site and stores, fyi, they're gonna open a new store at Plaza Indonesia this week!! And I heard an interesting promo is coming up with the new store opening! ;)

Drapery Neon necklace comes in two neon hues: lightning yellow and shocking pink

My friend told me just now (coz she just saw me about to post this outfit on my lunch time), that this outfit is so grungy, yet she told me futher (and I quite agree) that I still keep on the girly-ness with the garland as a belt around my waist. ;D Well, at first I just wanted to wear this daisies garland before the spring ends, yet my outfits recently just didn't go well with it. So I wear them as belt instead.

Last few week, I model and contribute the DIY Infinity Shawl tutorials with BL!NG and the rest of their team. Definitely a fun video and photo shoot! Then last week I saw my pictures on a table in one of BL!NG store. I thank you guys for the opportunity to contribute and to share my inspiration! :) Also you guys who continuously reading this blog, means world to me! *hugggg*

So until next post, toodles-doodles!

Back When Disco Ruled The Night

Yellow top from Only I - Two tones leggings from Only I, Ankle books from Adorable Projects Indonesia - Faux Fur bag from Pull&Bear

Olá pessoas lindas!! (read: Hello gorgeous people!)

How's your mid week so far? Mine's just awesome! Although I started the week with several of what I called, 'unfortunate events'. Yes, plural. On Monday my car key was nowhere to be found and therefore I was late for work. At office I just cannot focus to my work, as I have tons of photos to be edited and spell checking to be done by that afternoon. But, with the hope that tomorrow God will make everything better, the next days turned out to be better indeed. :)

Just last night after I ate my dinner and rested my body on the bed, I watched this best movie for the second time about chasing your dream job. Perhaps you've heard of it, a movie titled 'Morning Glory' with Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, and Diane Keaton. Well, the point of that movie is that there's always be a 'prize' between doing your best, never stop hoping, believing yourself, and never give up. :) You guys should watch it if you have spare time. I guess it's good for your spirit of working and chasing your dream. Yet, footnote to be noted, for me grateful and humility are the next things you should work on after. ;)

Kei, now for the outfit photos, I wore those pieces for my company's video shoot, for one of their new footwear brand. I was  one of the models for the video, and I did the styling for other models as well. :) You can see on the photo below that I used different shoes with different background, and hair. :p Both the top and the funky leggings are from local brand called Only I. When I first saw them on the hanging rack, I instantly thought of my all time fave disco-dance movie on the 70s: Flashdance, which I thought very peculiar with its neon colors tights, boots, and also funky oversized neon top.

It's such a rare occasion that I wore such total eclectic outfit, but I just fell for the colorful details on the tights and on the chest. I think they're kinda girly in somehow, someway. ;p You know, I've always been a quirky-girly girl, and I think those details kinda meets both of my quirkiness and my girly-ness. :) What do you think?

Oh, last but not least, last month I've been helping a sweet new friend, Lue, to design her blog layout and header. She's pretty new in blog sphere, and her blog is about beauty and make up tutorial. She's totally talented in creating beautiful eye make up! Click her here! Aaaand, I'm so so so so grateful for each of the amazing support for my blog, particularly on my previous post!! I was featured as Cover Model of The Week on the amazing fashion site you guys already familiar with, Mode Republic. Also, as the Fashion Click Looks of The Day on TeenVogue! So incredibly happy for that, and my heart just overwhelmed when I read each of your comment. *smooches*

And, Happy belated birthday for my lovely blogger friend, Monica Cerino of freesiablog! Wish you have a sky-rocketing life and blog! ;)

So, until next post, toodles-doodles!!
