Fairytale of Picnic Land

Handmade Floral garland by Woodland Faerie - Forever21 Soft pink hanging beads necklace - Forever21 Lace and tulle top - Unbranded Camel ribbon belt - Dorothy Perkins Light pink laces clutch - Forever 21 Giant purple rose - Yuan Ombre light purple maxi dress - OPI nail lacquer 'Do you lilac it?' and 'Gargantuan green grape'

Ola beautiful people!!

I got a haircut last weekend, whereafter I had a nice family time back in my hometown. It's been a while since my last visit to my parents house, and I kinda missed my dogs and places I usually took my self outfit photos. So there I was, having a little picnic and a sisters bonding time in one fine afternoon. I just made the garlands for my new upcoming collection in Woodland Faerie around noon and decided to wear one. Ps: you can now order this baby by sending me an email. :)

Speaking about my hair. What do you think, guys? I have this huge crush over Zooey Deschanel on New Girl series, and that includes her outfit and her hair. So I decided to have a full blunt bangs, which I think kinda creates a retro looks on me, while next week I'm planning to re-curl my hair up. I case ya'll doesn't know, my natural hair is pretty thick and straight. I've been permanently curling my hair every year since high school.

Then back again to the picnic land that afternoon with my sister. We were self-amusing our self by watching an old (we're guessing) and super long earthworm crossing the road from one side to the other. Too bad we forgot to snap a picture of the earthworm with our camera. :( But, I did took some shots of my sister and her outfit in our little picnic land. Oh, and I just love her glasses. in fact, I bought it from Bershka just before I went to my parents house, but since I was in hurry I didn't try it on properly. My face is just too big for them! Argh! What a shame. So, I gave it to her instead. :)

To close this week's post, I'd love to share you couple of inspiration. So I've made this illustration  for Mei's blog of Girl with Plastic Camera out of her photo, whereas I had the opportunity to took part in her blog project. So happy that she love my hand-drawn illustration. Yay!

The second inspiration came from this MEGA AH-MAZING band called Walk Off The Earth (WOTE and the Beard Guy)! I love the originality of their ideas and how they interpret their creativity in a simplest way that people usually never think of. Go watch and subs right away fellas!

At the very very last, I would want to say something to all the underdogs wherever you are (and that including myself). Upon my days I witnesses that there are more and more people who are and who will underestimating you. Trying to run to other people, even the parents, is just as worthless and disappointing as saying 'I can' to those people who underestimating you. Yet you know what? Run to God is another way around. I had a pretty rough days to start the week, and people, whoever they are, are just big disappointment. So if I can say a bit advise as your friend, when things get bad, try to shut your mouth, share is to no one, and pray inside your heart. I bet no matter how short your prayer is, He listens. Then before you know it, things will get better eventually. :) After praying, thing I loves to do after is blogging. And here I am, smiling and cheered up to receive your meaningful support to this blog. I'm also happy to tell you that I've been featured as Stylist of the Week by StyleSays. If you're a self-claimed stylist, like me, you will love this fashion site. Plus it's a great great way to promote ourself! So click the link without a doubt guys! ;)

Barefoot Butterfly

Floral Butterfly top from El'belle Shop - Soft Yellow skirt from Zara - Salmon leather belt

It's called Spring baby! The most beautiful season of the year. No matter how many seasons your country has, Spring fashion intrudes us everywhere!

What I love most about Spring (even though my country doesn't has such season) is the floral patterns of course. I always die for floral patterns since forever. Recently, I just got succeeded to persuade my Ma' to change our entire second floor's wallpaper into a soft vintage floral theme. She agreed, and there you see a corner of my house. :) The drawer I sat on is no longer on that corner as my Ma decided to make a new rack and made that corner as a small TV area. So now, that corner practically not available for me to take another outfit photos. :( But I'm glad I did with the drawer still on that beautiful corner. And thanks to my boyfriend who's taking all my photos since the last 4 to 5 blog-posts. He's getting great I think. Now, my faithful blogging friends, the wireless remote and the tripod, are kinda untouched. :p But I'm so grateful for him.

And happy Easter everyone! Our God not only has died for as, but He lives for us as well. Our Redeemer lives! :) I just can't stop my self to take a shot at the beautiful flare on my stair wall that evening. It was around sunset hour and the skies was so yellow.

Also, I couldn't thank you enough for each and every support to this blog. Smooches!!

PS: I made quite a lot blogger friends lately, I'm so happy!! Even more joyful to me, I can involved and take parts on their blogging project. I'll definitely show you guys soon once I got an 'ok go' from them! ;)

Until next post, toodles-doodles!

Doodle It Yourself: Make Your Own Peplum Effect!

Hey hello! :)

Just few days ago, I read on Chictopia Newsletter that Peplum is back on trend. Since I love anything vintage and girly, also since I haven't spend my money on clothes recently :p, it then kinda inspired me to experimented with (or recycled to be exact) my current closet. So I got this idea to create a peplum-effect dress that is actually layers of different pieces of clothing. I played with the patterns and colors to make it fun. I think this outfit looks like a cupcake somehow. :)

Well, the definition of peplum itself is a 'short flared, gathered, or pleated piece of fabric attached on the waist part of clothing to create a hanging frill as a decorative edging'. And according to Mr. Google, this Pep Trend started on the 40s, then 80s, and now in 2012 it back on style as it starting to appeared in Paris and Milan Fashion Week 2012, on pieces from magnifique designers such as Channel and YSL.

Kei, now for the DIY (doodle it yourself) part. But before we're going further, I need to tell in advance that this is not really a tutorial, but more like a tips. ;) Well, the key to create your own peplum-effect to your outfit is to use up different length of your clothing, and wear it on layers. You know, like Superman does. :p Here's the numbered tips to nailed the peplum-effect outfit:

1. Peplum usually attached on blouses, skirts, or dresses, and it has this mathematical formula of vertically slight+wide+slight. So, what you'll need is a pencil skirt/pants/short that to certain extent shape your body. This is necesarry in order to have the 'wide decorative edging' on peplum style.

2. As for the wide part, you'll need a long and rather loose top that covers your waist (or hips like in my outfit). A tailored-layered top like mine would be perfect, coz it creates wider peplum effect on your waist/hips.

3. For the upper layer, you will also need rather figure-hugging cropped top. But, it doesn't necessarily have to be tight-fitting to your body. The point is, it has to be tighter than your loose lengthy inner top. This cropped top should tighten your torso part of the outfit and thus creates a delicate pleats in between your cropped top and your loose inner top.

And there you go. You're wearing your own peplum trend. ;) Hope this inspiring your closet-recycling somehow!

Also, last Friday, me and Mr. boyfriend had our fifth year anniversary. ;p I bought us a cute custom-ordered cake, made by MoCa Precious, who's actually a sweet friend of mine, Gladys, and her talented Mommy. Since I love monkeys, I ordered them to make me a cute monkey couple cake. This is how cute it turned out!

And to top it off, it's so yummy!! Thanks MoCa Precious! ;)

Until next post, toodles-doodles!

Let's Call Out Plan B

Flowery Light Pink Top and Pleated Teal Pants by PickMe Shop (http://facebook.com/shopat.pickme) - Charles & Keith quilted purse - June+Julia orange shoes - Accessories by my shop (http://facebook.com/dr.rings)

Holaaaaa!! It's soooooo good to be back!!! :D

How are you beautiful people?? I've mentioned on my Chictopia post that every hard-workers deserve a blast this weekend. :))

Well, so I wore this outfit couples of days ago. There's no story this time, I'm just went out. It was humid in here, so sleveless top was the best choice for that day. The top was sweet both in color and its details. At the front it's just like a 3D roses top, and at the back it's not overloaded with roses, rather it's just a sweet see-through chiffon. I love pleated, so I paired it with my teal pleated pants I just bought week earlier. They secretly made my hips bigger so I'm not so skinny (well now it's not a secret anymore :p). The shoes, I was wearing one of my fave June+Julia's. And I've found this background- you've probably seen it on previous post, that practicaly matching with my outfit: a combination between green, pink, and yellow. The site was amazing, and the flowers just all blossomy. Hope you enjoy the view like I did on the pic below. :))

Aaaand, I owe the world the each sweet comments of yours on my previous posts. Last month I'm sorry I just had not have the time to check each links you all gave me. But, since I'm done with my thesis, and also I'm no longer working on my last company, I promise to visit the links soon! It's really a happiness for me to know there's someone (better, even more) who supports my blog! The least I can do is doing the same. :))

Also, I couldn't be more happier to have new badges to be put on my blog, as I have couple of AMAZING shop you guys should click and see. They're definitely 'my style', and that's why I'm so happy that they provides special discount for their items for you guys my precious readers!! Make sure you click on them! ;)

A bit unimportant intermezo, I lose my job this week, but I couldn't be any happier. I don't know why. But I'm soooooo thankful for my current predicament. :) Guess it's time for plan B: my head's full with 'business' and 'enterpreneur' since last month anyway. One thing for sure, it's gotta be in fashion label. ;)) But, let me surprise you another time. For now I'll just end this up with a great quote from my fave TV series I watched earlier today:

"In the end, everything's gonna be alright. If it's not alright, then it's not the end." -Bill (Giuliana & Bill)

Make sure ya'll have a blast this week, and..

Until next post, toodles-doodles!!!

Roses and Thorns

DIY headband - Promod beige cropped cardi - unbranded rose dress - june+julia heels

Hi all lovelies. Here I am once again enjoying a short break between my days and nights sitting in front of my laptop. I just fell in love with the shoes I just bought from June of june+julia. They just so similar with Miu-Miu Mary Jane heels. Hope you love em too! ;) The headband was another DIY project that I did a month a go. I'm so in love with such floral headband that Kathleen Carla of Inspirafashion used from Casper and Pearls. Since I never did an international on-line shopping because it usually cost me sooo much shipping money, so I was thinking I just have to make one. :)

And since I just have to go back to my thesis writing, soo..

I always experimenting new hair style I've just learned from the internet with her. She will always say 'No', but she let me anyway! Thanks sis! :D

Then, after I did her hairstyle, I suddenly feel like going for a quick photo shoot. Since the day is soo bright and beautiful, and her hair was also nice. :p As always, I was successfully persude her to acompany me. She's the most helping person behind my photo shoot if I'm in mom's house, because I can set focus on her first. :))

She has this picnic idea, so I found this gorgeous wild grass field not far behind mom's house. And there we go. The photos result really really shocked me. I just looove the photos so so much. Hope you are too! ;D

Introducing my lil chubby sis, Priskila.
