What a Flowery day

Olá there beautiful readers!! I skip a week on blogging.. :( Feels like more than a week tho. Aight, this week I post my outfit I wore several days ago when I was surprisingly showed up in her house in the middle of the week, where I supposed to have an evening class. My class was suddenly got canceled and I just drove back home to surprise her with a cake. She was very happy about it, and that made me happy too. After that surprising attempt, I took a chance to have a lil self photo shoot :p coz I got this beautiful afternoon (which was almost sunset) with a beautiful background near mom's house. Again, both of the floral blouse and the high waist short was thrifted items. Luckily, my lil sister had just bought a bubble thingy, so I sneak it to my bag and thinking to blow them for my outfit photo. It brings out the summer feeling, don't you think? :) Even so, it was kinda hard to have a good photo blowing that bubble! Lol. So, it ends up with my sister help me to create much bubble at first, then I just pose while blowing that thing. :p It was a super fun family day, and this fun photo shoot had just complete my day.

Hope you have a lovely days as well this week ;)

Old Timer

Hi gorgeous!! hows weekend? It's monday already, isn't it? Seems like our earth spinning faster now.. :( Oh age... I just wanna be forever 21, as I always shop there.. ;) Lol.

So, I've been so much inspired by my blogger BFF, Monica from Freesia Blog regarding the old school mom's style in the early 80s. You guys should def def (yes I said it twice) check her signature style of so called 'young grandma' style.

This dress is one of my thrift findings on last hunting and I looove the details so much. It's a one piece dress that looks like two separate pieces with same garment. The bag was actually my mom's, and she just laughed when she saw me wore them that day. She said, "How come kids these days ever want to wear that old style? That makes you look like a grandma you know." And I was like, "Mom, that's the point." And she was just shook her head. Lol. The bag actually broken, you see how it can't be buttoned in. But I love the shape and colors. So as much as my mom want to trash it, I just stole them and lock them in my closet. :p My mom is not a keeper, so I don't have much of her closet. Instead, my grandma is, and she just looove to see me wearing her old clothes rather than giving it so somebody else.

Alrighty then. Hope you like it! ;D Now, I got a looot of blog homework to do.... :))

Until next post, toodles-doodles!!

In The Jungle, The Ethnic Jungle

Hi beautiful readers!! First thing, I know it's late but, HAPPY EASTER!! :D May God bless us even more..

During this photo uploading, I just can't stop humming the song 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight'. And there goes the title of this post. Soo, I just walk around with my dog the other day, and found this beautiful spot behind the Sport Club near my house. So the next day I just took a couples of shoots there. Oh, I should mention you about the bag. I got them on my last family holiday trip, and they're actually a hand-knitted bag made from tuber's root. Unfortunately, I forgot the exact kind of tuber it made of. I haven't wear it a lot since I bought it. But I think it's just a perfect match with such tropical background I had. :)

This time, i wore all thrifted items, since I just went out hunting on one thrift market in my area last week. I got in total 11 pieces of clothing with just a hundred IDR (or same as US$10). Most of them are in great condition, and I just can't wait to style them in outfit photos. :D

Well then, I hope you like it. :)

Until next post, toodles-doodles!!

Fringe and Sheer in Blue Sky Collapse

Black Sheer dress by Retail Therapy - Unbranded cropped fringe top - Orange heels by June+Julia - Big buckle belt by Dorothy Perkins

Olla! I've gone missing from blog sphere for a full two weeks. :( I've done my thesis propsoal, and already submitted them yesterday. Huff, and now I feel a biiit releaved. :)

So how's your early week? Hope it's not stressing.. Oh, and this week we'll have a long weekend huh? Due to the easter day.. Thinking of long weekend, that's kinda become a spirit booster, don't you think? I'm planning a weekend getaway already. :p

Ok, now I need to tell you this. I took this outfit photos many days ago, and I've been editing it here and there during my office hour, and, guess what: today is the fourth time I failed to blog! Every time I want to upload the photos, my office's electricity went off! That's weird.. But finally today, I upload it right away after my lunch time. Just in case it went off again (Coz yesterday, it went  of twice a day!)

Guess, I don't have a lot to say today. The air con in my office room is broken, and it feels like I'm in a sauna right now.. *Sweat dripping on my forehead* :(

Have an amazing weekend lovely!!

Loving those blue skies..
I wonder what it feels like to be up there.

Until next post, toodles-doodles!!

My Outfit is So Yummy

How's weekend everybody? :)

So, just last week I got featured on Strappyboots.com for my previous ethnic-hippie outfit. So much YAY for that! :D Thanks to Erika for the feature on her wonderful site!!

And about the outfit, don't you think it reminds you of choco-strawberry fudge? Yumm... I actually want one as I write this.. :p I wore this yesterday on a date with the boyfriend after we went to church together.  All photos was taken by him. I forgot to bring my tripod so I taught him how to take my outfit photos. It's his first time, so I didn't expect much. But it turned out pretty well and I wish he could do more for my next outfit photos. :))

The sheer pink blouse is my new fave last week, and instead of using clasic tank top as an inner, I play with my old leopard print top. The result, as you can see, it creates faded leopard pattern. I shortened the necklace to highlight my inner leopard prints. And the bottom outfit was actually -I called it- SKORT. It's a skirt and short combo. So it actually a pants. It's my new obbsession lately coz  I bought two last week. :p

Finally, hope you'll like it! ;)

And.... This is my nail art creation last week. :D

Ethnic Monk-ey

Handmade beaded necklace- Gaudi ethnic pattern scraf- Gaudi  top- Gaudi grey cardi- Unbranded brown belt- Pull&Bear Tawny baggy pants- Bangkok street market turqoish sandals

Holla Hermosa!!! (Hello Beautiful!)

Just learn the language from my Mexican friend, Monica. :p
And how's your day? Hope it's doing great! :))

....Erm, actually, I kinda have writer's block today. :( So I'll just keep it short. Hippie and ethnic was my style back in high school, and the mood back on after I bought the Tawny pants few days ago. This look actually inspired by the Indian male baggy pants (they usually in white color). They're so flowy and super comfy. I leave out my heels and just go back to the flat sandals. Hope you like it!

Oh, and since I work in a nail-polish heaven :p this early week I made an ethnic nail-art. Never thought it would match perfectly with today's outfit. :)

Green-OPI TEXAS collection, Gold & Silver-Nicole Justin Bieber Collection

ps: mind my monkey-ish pose up there.. :( :p  Have a great week everyone!!!

Until next post, toodles-doodles!!

Appreciation

Hi all,

To begin with,  I just wanna say my sympathy to our fellow in Japan due to the earthquake and Tsunami hits yesterday. Our prayer here from Indonesia and other caring countries always be for you. And to our Japanese blogger friends, I just hope you're ok there.

So, the reason of my post today is to admit how ignorance I was to my local fashion bloggers. Ever since I started to blog, I barely browse on the locals. I, fortunately, have many abroad blogger friends, but very few Indonesian friends. :( This is ugly, coz they're soooooo many fashion geniuses on my country! And to make up with that, here's my standing applause for them Indonesian fashion ingenuity:

Michelle Koesnadi from glistersandblisters. She knows just how to work the high-end brands! She has amazing amazing outfit photos, which she took by herself! Her shoes and accessories collection are totally to die for. She's a talented photographer too.

Diana Rikasari from hot chocolate and mint. She's the no.1 it girl in the local blogging world. She's  featured on every local magazines and sites, and became the 'someone' in Indonesian street fashion. And most importantly, she started from blogging! She has tons of very unique and one of a kind outfits, which she photographed on her colorful bedroom. Her creativity in design and fashion is surely no doubted.

Bethanny Putri Supriadi from afternoon tea and living room. She's the creative director of de.cada.dia, a brand of her own.  Her style is simply fabulous with amazing shoes collection. I love her, coz she loves coffee brown as much as I do. :)

Fhenny from Little Miss Fhenny. Another fashionista in Jakarta who's also a fashion writer. Her style is ecletic, and always know how to combine outfits from head to toe.

Diana Caitilin from call me Dyiiin!. This pretty fashionista is currently studying fashion in Malaysia. Her fashion attempts is always creative, girly, and unique at the same time. She has several fashion quotes of which I def couldn't agree more!

Evita Nuh from The creme de la crop. Ok about this girl, I envy her so much! Coz she found her signature style at a very super young age!! She's just 12 yo Indonesian girl who already became a style icon! Her featured list is suuuuuper long. She's an amzing writer and have an incredibly taste of fashion. I wonder what she'll be in next few years.

Sabila Anata from Pastel Girl. Another stylish young girl who able to put up unwearable piece of clothing into a chic looks. Her pose is undeniably cute and funny (in a good way of course). :)

Carissa Vicky from la petit poucet. Now this girl has amazing photos. And yup, she's another great self-photos-taker. Like her blog name, she has a petite body with a girly and chic style of fashion. I really enjoying her photographs on her blog so much.

Karina Pricilla from fabooshbaboosh. This fashionista has shoes collection that'll makes you shoe-gasm! Her clean photographs just captured perfectly of her every amazing pieces of clothing.

And that's just a very few of wonderful fashion bloggers here in my country. You guys should def click on their links and have a cup of inspiration from each one of them. And as for you girls, whom the name is listed on this post (if you ever read this), just don't mind me.  I'm just nobody who admire your blog and your love in fashion so much. :)

Oh, and the dress was my mom's. A legacy part 2. ;)

Legacy (Part.1)

How's your weekend, dolls? :))

I had a blast last weekend. Also, the best thing is, my Mom visited me and gave me a bag full with granma's and her old clothes! Super Yay!! :D So today, without any hesitation I put this dress on to my office. The dress is actually a bit too big for me on the shoulder, but you guys know that will never stop us for wearing granma's/ mom's dress, right? ;)

Ok, since I have this new collection of old clothes, I will probably continue to wear them up. So there will be part 2,3, ect sometime soon. I hope you like it!

Ps: this is good coz I can save my shopping money. I'm planning to buy a good pocket camera for outfit-photo purpose. Any idea on what should I buy?? Please tell me.. :)

Until next post, toodle-doodles!!
